Use your pendrive as RAM
1: Insert the flash drive.
2: Go to Start, right-click My Computer and click “Properties”.
3: Select the Advanced tab and click the Settings button in the Performance category.
4: Select the Advanced tab and click the Change button in the Virtual Memory category.
5: Select your flash drive in the drives list. Select the Custom Size button in the area below the
drive list.
6: Enter the amount of space on the flash drive you would like to use for RAM in both boxes.
7: Select Set, Ok, Ok, Ok.
8: Restart the system.
Note that this method can be used with ANY type of storage hardware/unit, but depending on what type and format you use, they will go at different speeds.
You may notice in the process that your Local Drive (C: by default) has some of it’s space dedicated to Virtual Memory. This is for when your computer exceeds it’s RAM capacity so it has a backup. However, the Local Drive is much slower than a standard RAM module, which is why the computer goes so slowly when this happens.
